Cardano contributor Emurgo Labs to integrate stablecoin on Sui blockchain

EMURGO Labs, a full-stack innovation agency with deep blockchain expertise and a contributor to the Cardano ecosystem, has signed an MoU with MENA based Pravica, a blockchain infrastructure service provider specializing in money tokenization, to establish a framework for collaboration to integrate Cardano native stablecoins on the Sui blockchain.

As per the press release, Pravica will leverage its S3.Money infrastructure to significantly expand the utility of Cardano native stablecoins. This collaboration is essential for bridging these native stablecoins to the Sui blockchain, enabling cross-chain interoperability. Concurrently, the initiative will focus on integrating the stablecoins for global remittance services by engaging leading financial stakeholders and banks worldwide. The initial phase will involve launching pilot programs in key international remittance corridors.

EMURGO Labs will provide technical expertise, documentation and ecosystem engagement to facilitate the integration of Cardano native stablecoins onto the Sui blockchain through S3.Money.

Ahmed M. Amer, CEO of EMURGO Labs, commented, “At EMURGO Labs, our mission is to connect enterprises and institutions to blockchain in ways that create lasting value. Partnering with Pravica allows us to extend the utility of Cardano native stablecoins onto new ecosystems, powered by robust infrastructure and real-world use cases. This initiative also has the potential to support government-level strategies for digital transformation, enabling public institutions, regulators and financial institutions to explore stablecoin adoption in a secure and compliant manner.”

The collaboration aims to establish a scalable and secure framework for blockchain-powered stablecoin payments, beginning with an UAE–Egypt remittance corridor. The Parties have also committed to coordinated efforts in business development, regulatory compliance and joint marketing to accelerate adoption across the wider MENA region.

Mohamed Abdou, CEO of Pravica, stated: “Through S3.Money, we are building the infrastructure that connects stablecoin innovation with real-world financial needs. Our partnership with EMURGO Labs reinforces our commitment to delivering secure, compliant and practical solutions for cross-border remittances and digital finance on a global scale.”
